Life circumstances lead Fall River mother to create mouth-watering business

A Fall River mother has pivoted due to life circumstances to create a new business to fill your stomachs.

The Flippin’ Pancake is a brand-new luxury mobile mini pancake cart business launched by local mom and entrepreneur Michele Antunes, who previously worked as a barber for nine years before pursuing a degree in occupational therapy after her 2-year-old son’s diagnosis with tuberous sclerosis complex and autism.

The business brings a fun, interactive experience to events. Guests watch fresh mini pancakes being cooked live on a griddle right in front of them. There’s no strict menu. Everything is fully customizable. Options include Ferrero Rocher or Dubai chocolate, plus “create your own” with fresh fruit, drizzles, whipped cream, and themed toppings.

It caters to private events like birthdays, weddings, corporate functions, school gatherings, and pop-ups, with the cart easily themed to match any party. They also offer “celebration boxes” for smaller bookings.

The official debut is scheduled for April 11th at the Elks Club in Fall River during an Autism Awareness Fundraiser benefiting Mae’s Playground. Michele is donating 50% of proceeds from that event due to her family’s personal connection to the cause.

You can follow them on Facebook at The Flippin Pancake for updates, booking info, and mouthwatering photos.
