Letter to the editor: Stop using lame excuses for defying Massachusetts audit mandate

This is an opinion piece that was submitted to Fall River Reporter.
As submitted to Senator Rodrigues, Reps Fiola & DeCoste on 5/21
“When will you & your brethren stand-up to the leadership, & stop using lame excuses for defying the mandate of 72% of the voters? Right on the subject line… this has got to end.
“The recent audit, resulting in just the absolute disregard of any bidding rules has apparently produced just what everyone (with a brain) had suspected… the $4B that was spent by the ever so frugal (now) Governor, on the “unlawfully present”, was fraught with fraud, waste, theft, & poor management. The issue, of course, is that the whole enchilada was rubber stamped by the ever-so-open legislature.
“To allow anyone to believe that an audit of the secret books under the golden dome, will somehow/someway thwart the constitution is the musings of what I believe, are some seriously deluded leaders. I’m really tired of the games.
