Lepage’s Seafood in Fall River being leased out, but there will be two places to still get your favorites
There have been rumors that it is turning into a biker club or a dentist office, but a local seafood restaurant is staying put. Kind of.
Lepage’s Seafood at 439 Martine Street in Fall River announced on social media in November that they were undergoing a remodeling project to bring a whole new level of dining experience including revamping the bar/lounge area and a new floor plan.
Since the announcement in November, Lepage’s has remained closed including the Lepage’s sign being taken down, leaving to much speculation.
According to Cindy Gifford, Lepage’s Seafood is being leased out. The new name of the restaurant will be “South Coast Grill”.
“The new owner will be featuring all the same yummy food that Lepage’s had.”
Gifford plans on operating the Lepage’s Mobil Food Trailer which will be located at South Shore Beach in Little Compton.
“In honor of Eric and Carol Lepage I have kept the same name and I have the recipe book so I will continue with many of the foods that they were known for. Carol Lepage and I have been in contact, and she has offered to help me with anything that I should need.”
Gifford even plans to feature this photo of Eric and Carol at the trailer as a tribute. Eric died in March of this year.
Eric and Carol LePage announced in April of 2022 that there would be new ownership at the eatery. Jon-Paul Van Regenmorter, a successful local dentist, took over ownership.
Gifford’s trailer will be open the end of June and both spots will carry on the Lepage’s tradition. The trailer will feature fish, clams, scallops, chowder, clam cakes, lobster rolls, and hamburgers while South Coast Grill will carry a full menu.

Are gift cards for Lepages still valid? If so can they be used at the food truck and/or restaurant?

Good luck to all in their quest to honor Lepages legacy. I am sure the they will be successful with the food truck/restaurant! The food is great and so are the people!

Agree with Maureen about the gift cards. We were given out lapages gift cards from our family because they know how much we love lapages and have gone there for years. Considering how vocal they are about continuing the legacy I can’t imagine they wouldn’t honor the gift cards . Unless they don’t love Fall River. Which , we all love Fall River , right guys? ( entire city of Fall River rises as one in a massive showing of civic pride )
