Last remaining TGI Fridays in the vicinity of Fall River closes immediately
A local restaurant closed on Thursday.
TGI Fridays® on State Road in North Dartmouth permanently closed effective immediately. The location was also scrubbed from the company’s website.
In January, TGI Fridays® announced the sale of eight previously corporate-owned restaurants in the Northeast to former CEO Ray Blanchette in addition to 3 dozen closures.
Among the closed locations were 3 in Bristol County including Mansfield, Seekonk, and North Attleboro. Dedham, Danvers, and Marlboro TGI Fridays® in Massachusetts were also closed.
Late last week, anonymous sources told Bloomberg that TGI Fridays was preparing to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
TGI Fridays is a casual chain restaurant serving beer, cocktails & a wide menu of American cuisine.
The closest location to Fall River is now 2 Hawes Way in Stoughton.
