The largest dollhouse shop in the world is about to get even bigger with a move to Fall River coming very soon.

Flip This Dollhouse is a renowned specialty store in New Bedford.

Located on the second floor of the historic Kilburn Mill at 127 West Rodney French Boulevard, the 5,000-square-foot space is a haven for miniature enthusiasts, collectors, and hobbyists.

Founded by Nathaniel Ellis in 2011 as an online eBay business specializing in pre-coordinated dollhouse room sets sold worldwide, it has grown significantly over the years. Ellis, a University of Massachusetts Dartmouth graduate with a bachelor’s in business management and additional training in interior design from Style Design College, brings over 21 years of experience in miniature interior design and 15 years in full-scale design. His expertise allows the shop to offer not just products but personalized interior design services for dollhouse rooms, helping customers create custom setups.

The store’s physical evolution began in 2012 with a small 100-square-foot booth at the Raynham Flea Market, displaying just a few dollhouses. By 2014, it shifted inventory to Etsy and expanded to larger spaces at the New Bedford Antiques Center, growing from 200 to 500 square feet and showcasing 20-30 dollhouses at a time. In early 2019, it relocated to its current expansive location in the Kilburn Mill, quickly expanding to its full size and attracting visitors from across New England, the U.S., and internationally. As of April 1st, they will have an even bigger spot on the 3rd floor of The Tower Mill at 657 Quarry Street in Fall River.

Visitors can explore an impressive inventory of around 100 dollhouses at any given time, along with thousands of miniatures, furniture, accessories, and even model cars. Everything inside the displayed dollhouses is available for individual purchase, allowing customers to mix and match or pull items from setups. The store emphasizes high-quality, detailed pieces for scales like 1:12 and others, catering to both beginners and seasoned collectors.

Unique features include Ellis’ media collaboration. His work has appeared in HBO’s The Gilded Age, ABC/Hulu’s The Fatal Flaw, a Taylor Swift Eras Tour backdrop video, the play Becoming Dr. Ruth, and various TV shows, newspapers, and children’s books.

The shop operates Wednesday through Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
