Lane closures will take place due to MassDOT inspections on bridges and tunnel under City Hall on I-195 in Fall River
FALL RIVER – The Massachusetts Department of Transportation has announced that it will be performing inspections on the tunnel under City Hall and the adjacent bridges over I-195 in Fall River.
The work is scheduled to take place beginning on Monday, May 11th, at 9:00 p.m., and continuing nightly through 5:00 a.m. on Friday, May 15th. The work is anticipated to be completed by Friday morning, May 15th.
Lane closures on I-195 eastbound and westbound will be in place. Temporary traffic alterations, including lane and shoulder closures, will occur as needed. At least one lane of travel will be maintained at all times, and police will assist with traffic control and safety setups.
Appropriate signage and messaging will be in place to guide drivers through the work area.
Drivers traveling through the affected area should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution.
