Lakeville Fire Department responds to rollover crash on Route 140 in Taunton

The first response of 2025 for the Lakeville Fire Department sent responders to Route 140 this morning just after 3:30 a.m.

For reasons not known by the Fire Department, crews were sent to the highway for a reported medical emergency. Arriving firefighters were surprised to find a heavily damaged overturned vehicle.

According to the Department, the crash was found to be located at mile marker 16.6 on the southbound side of the highway, across the line in Taunton.

The occupant of the vehicle was transported by Lakeville Ambulance 1 with injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening.

Engine 1 and Car 2 also responded to the highway.

The crash is under investigation.
