Lakeville, Berkley, Freetown transport 2 children to New Bedford, adult to Taunton, after multi-vehicle highway crash
A crash on a local highway resulted in multiple injuries and required a response from multiple communities.
According to the Lakeville Fire Department, just before 3:30 p.m., Lakeville Firefighters responded to a motor vehicle crash on Route 140 northbound, just south of Myricks Street.
The collision involved two vehicles and resulted in three individuals requiring medical attention.
At the time of the incident, Lakeville Ambulance 2 was already committed to another emergency call. With support from a department recall, Ambulance 3 responded alongside Engine 2 and Car 1.
Upon arrival, crews evaluated three patients and determined all required transport to the hospital. Mutual aid ambulances from Berkley and Freetown assisted at the scene.
Two pediatric patients were transported to St. Luke’s Hospital, while an adult male was taken to Morton Hospital. Fortunately, none of the injuries are believed to be serious.
