La Salette Festival of Lights in Attleboro returning this year with more lights than ever, more days open
La Salette will continue their popular Festival of Lights tradition this year returning with more lights than ever.
The National Shrine of La Salette Festival of Lights will begin on November 22nd and will run until January 4th, 2026, past the typical New Years Day closure.
The annual event is a beautiful religious light display that will feature more than 1,000,000 lights covering over 10 acres of land. The lights are generally lit from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. even when closed on Christmas.
Seeing the display is free of charge, but donations are appreciated.
Among the other attractions, you can bring your family and friends to meet Santa and take memorable photos every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Welcome Center. They will also have the carousel, hayride, and ride to Bethlehem Friday through Sunday from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
The Missionaries of Our Lady of La Salette issued the following statement.
“Though the world is filled with beauty, we also carry the weight of uncertainty, division, and weariness. And yet, Christmas arrives, quietly and powerfully, with St. Paul’s invitation: “Rejoice in hope” (Rom 12:12). This hope isn’t rooted in our circumstances, but in God’s promise made flesh in Christ, our hope, light and peace.
“The image on our cover says it all: people from different cultures joyfully gathered around the Christ Child. It reflects both the mystery of Bethlehem and the spirit of our Shrine. Each year, it welcomes pilgrims from around the world, all drawn by the same light, the same hope. Moreover, our growing multi-ethnic communities (Spanish, Portuguese, Filipino, Haitian, Franco-Canadian, Italian, Vietnamese, Cape Verdean, and Afro-American) make the Shrine a prophetic living sign of Christ’s message for all: unity, peace, and joy.
“As you walk through the lights, may you encounter more than beauty: may you find Christ’s hope shining for you and for the world.”
The National Shrine of Our Lady of La Salette is located at 947 Park St. Attleboro, MA.
