King Richard’s Faire and Edaville in Carver are undergoing changes; here is the up-to-date info

As many may already know, King Richard’s Faire and Edaville are going through some changes. Here we are to keep you up to speed.
King Richard’s Faire, New England’s largest and longest-running Renaissance festival, is moving to the Edaville Family Theme Park property at 5 Pine Street in Carver, for its 44th season, starting August 30th, and running weekends through October 19, including two Monday holidays. The move was prompted by a lease dispute with the former landowner. The new owners, Lancelot Entertainment Boston, purchased both the Faire and Edaville’s 250-acre property in February of this year.
The relocation will make the Faire bigger and better with new shops, an indoor bar, and new acts in addition to what you would typically expect such as jousting, an artisan marketplace, eight performance stages, and themed food.
General admission tickets are $46 for adults, $26 for children ages 4-11, and free for children under 3. Pub crawl tickets for adults 21+ are $158 for select dates.
As we previously reported, Edaville, which has been in business for nearly 8 decades, is undergoing a significant transformation, with most amusement rides, including kiddie coasters, a Ferris wheel, and animatronic dinosaur statues, scheduled for auction on April 30th. The larger trains will remain, and the park plans to continue its Christmas Festival of Lights in December, adding new food, entertainment, and shopping options.
According to the Patriot Ledger, Edaville will also become an entertainment venue that will host events. An ice-skating rink may also be on site during the winter months.
While many are sad to see it go in its previous form, there is still optimism Edaville will still bring fun to families for years to come.
