Jumper off of Mount Hope Bridge rushed to hospital

Police confirm that a person jumped off of the Mount Hope Bridge Sunday morning.
According to scanner transmissions, at approximately 11:30 a.m., a call came in for a vehicle stopped on the bridge. Coast Guard along with Bristol and Portsmouth authorities were notified and it was determined that there was a subject in the water.
Traffic was stopped on the bridge during the rescue.
The subject was pulled from the water and cpr was performed before being transported to Rhode Island Hospital. Their condition is unknown at this time.
