Juice’d Cafe closes New Bedford location, opening second Fall River spot
A local health food restaurant company is losing one location but gaining another.
Juice’d Cafe, a smoothie and juice bar currently located at 1475 Plymouth Avenue, has had to close their New Bedford location at 984 Kempton Street.
Last week, the following statement was issued.
“To our loyal New Bedford customers – The time has come to start a new chapter. We have closed our restaurant due to unforeseeable circumstances that were not by choice. We want to thank you ALL from the bottom of our hearts for letting us serve you and for letting us be able to do what we love to do. New Bedford will always hold a special place in our hearts. With all of this being said – stay tuned for a special announcement in the coming days! We couldn’t leave you with all negatives.”
The special announcement landed today as Juice’d Cafe will open a new restaurant in early fall at 835 North Main Street in Fall River where the former Del’s Lemonade was located.
Owners Luis and Stacey Gonsalves opened the first Juice’d Cafe in Fall River in January of 2017 followed by a Newport spot in June of that year on Thames Street that later closed. The New Bedford location debuted in July of 2019.
