According to several reports, ICE Boston has been in the area the last few days.

Several witnesses stated that ERO Boston had stopped multiple people in Fall River recently. It is unclear at the moment what became of those interactions.

Also, according to New Bedford Light, three people were arrested in the last two days in New Bedford.

58-year-old Jose Bonilla was checking on one of the properties he owns in New Bedford when he was stopped by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents at the intersection of Roosevelt Street and Cove Road.

New Bedford residents Joseph Reyes-Rubui and Nelson Lopes were apparently on their way to work at Raycon Construction on Friday when they were arrested.

New Bedford Light stated that according to a relative and roommate, Reyes-Rubui was pursuing an asylum application and held work authorization. He had lived in the country for nearly three years and was employed to provide for his two children back in Nicaragua. Lopes’ immigration status remains unclear.

ERO Boston has not yet issued an update on these interactions.
