ICE Boston arrests Salvadoran national with several convictions and outstanding warrants in Massachusetts

PEABODY, Mass. — U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, in collaboration with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, arrested Emilio Neftaly Pineda, an undocumented Salvadoran national, on June 12, 2025, in Peabody. Pineda has convictions for domestic assault and battery, violating a restraining order, and operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol. Officers from ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations Boston, alongside agents from ICE Homeland Security Investigations New England, FBI Boston, and DEA New England, apprehended him.
Pineda faces two outstanding Massachusetts arrest warrants for leaving the scene of an accident and a compulsory insurance violation after failing to appear in court for these charges.
“Emilio Pineda has multiple convictions in Massachusetts and poses a clear threat to our community,” said ICE ERO Boston acting Field Office Director Patricia H. Hyde. “Having been removed from the U.S. twice before, he has demonstrated a blatant disregard for both our immigration and state laws. New England cannot become a safe haven for such individuals. ICE Boston will continue to apprehend and remove criminal threats to our residents.”
Pineda entered the United States illegally on an unknown date and at an unknown location, without admission, inspection, or parole by a U.S. immigration official.
On November 6, 2000, the East Boston District Court arraigned Pineda for assault and battery on a household member, issuing a continuance without finding on January 24, 2001.
The Everett District Court arraigned him on December 5, 2002, for violating a restraining order, finding him guilty on February 3, 2003.
On August 1, 2005, the Quincy District Court arraigned Pineda for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, with a continuance without finding issued on January 23, 2006.
The Malden District Court arraigned Pineda on September 30, 2015, for leaving the scene of an accident with property damage, issuing a default warrant on March 2, 2016, after he failed to appear. On December 16, 2015, the same court arraigned him for a compulsory insurance violation, later issuing another warrant for his failure to appear.
ICE Boston removed Pineda from the United States on February 1, 2016, and again on July 20, 2016. He illegally re-entered the country on an unknown date and at an unknown location, without proper admission or inspection.
On June 12, 2025, ICE Boston issued Pineda a reinstatement of deportation following his arrest. He remains in ICE custody pending removal from the United States.
