ICE Boston announces arrest of two men accused of crimes against children in Massachusetts, Rhode Island

Immigration and Customs Enforcement Boston has announced two recent arrests.

ICE Boston stated that they have arrested Edilzar Mazariegos, a 36-year-old sexual predator from Guatemala, on Aug. 19.

He’s been convicted of raping a child by force in Massachusetts and was sentenced to 15 to 20 years in prison.

ICE Boston also stated that they have arrested Viroth Phannavong, a 58-year-old sexual predator from Laos, on Aug. 20.

He’s been convicted of first-degree child molestation in Rhode Island.

No other details were released.

The pair are likely facing removal from the United States.
