I-195 to see lane closures in Fall River and Dartmouth due to sign inspections
DARTMOUTH/ FALL RIVER – The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is announcing that it will be conducting overhead sign inspections on Interstate 195 eastbound in Dartmouth and in Fall River. The work is scheduled to take place on Thursday April 23, 2020, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
The inspection operations in Fall River and Dartmouth will require the temporary lane closures as follows:
Fall River – Two lanes of travel will be closed on I-195 eastbound in the vicinity of the ramp from Route 24 northbound to I-195 eastbound at exit 8A and the ramp from I-195 east to Route 24 northbound at exit 8B.
· Dartmouth – Two lanes of travel will be closed on the ramp from I-195 eastbound to Faunce Corner Road at exit 12.
One lane of traffic will remain open at all times while work is being conducted.
Traffic management will consist of standard temporary traffic control utilizing police details.
Drivers who are traveling through the affected areas should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution.
All scheduled work is weather dependent and/or may be impacted due to an emergency situation.
