Hunter injured after being shot by another hunter Wednesday
Police are investigating a shooting that took place Wednesday.
Massachusetts Environmental Police Officers responded to a hunting accident in the vicinity of Charlotte Furnace Road in Wareham before 4:00 p.m.
According to the MEP, a hunter was struck when another hunter in the surrounding area discharged their firearm while engaged in hunting.
MEP stated that both individuals were wearing the required ‘hunter orange’ during the incident.
The victim is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
