Hulk Hogan talks about wrestling in Fall River on the “Joe Rogan Experience”
Did you know that Hulk Hogan wrestled in Fall River in the 1980’s?
I was listening to Episode #2024 of the Joe Rogan Experience and roughly 24 minutes into the podcast, Hulk Hogan begins telling a story about him wrestling in Fall River, Massachusetts!
“I called Vince McMahon Senior that night from Fall River, Massachusetts, because I was wrestling at a high school in Fall River, Massachusetts. I called Vince because he was my guy, we were really good friends. I told him I’m leaving tomorrow to do the Stallone movie.”
He goes, No you’re not. It’s midnight now, you have to be in Charlotte at noon for TV with Crockett. I said, no I told you I’m not going to do that I am going to do this movie and as soon as I am done I will come back. He said, Well don’t come back. You’re never going to work here again.”
That’s an interesting piece of wrestling and Fall River history! Hulk Hogan was fired from WWF in Fall River by Vince McMahon Sr. because he was going to be acting in Rocky 3.

A lot of wrestlers came through when I was a kid Fall River, Lincoln Park 60s and early 70s. New Bedford High School 70s and early 80s, GNB Voke Tech HS early 80s. The Samoins, SD Jones, Johnny Rodz, Tony Atlas, Pedro Morales, Valiant Brothers I think and a whole bunch more made these cards especially 70s and early 80s when it was still WWWF with Vince Sr running it. I just saw a newspaper ad for Bruiser Brody being advertised for Lincoln Park.
