House destroyed by fire in Freetown Tuesday evening
According to Freetown Police, at approximately 6:24 p.m., Freetown Communication received a 911 call reporting a structure fire at 95 Slab Ridge Road by the homeowner.
First responders arrived on scene and discovered that the dwelling was completely engulfed.
Assisting the Freetown Fire Department, the towns of Dartmouth, Lakeville, Rochester, and Raynham have provided fire engines and manpower to fight the blaze. Freetown Animal Control is also assisting with animals located at the residence.
Freetown Police are asking for the public’s help by avoiding the Freetown State Forest entrance where the fire is generally located.
