Home of former Fall River waterfront restaurant to have new life and fresh vision
More details have been released concerning a new restaurant coming to a familiar waterfront location.
The owners of Black Salt in Swansea announced Sunday that the closing is officially complete and they are now the owners of 439 Martine Street in Fall River, the former LePage’s Seafood location.
The space will become a completely new restaurant concept — featuring a new name (Anchor & Stone), new menu, and a new team — built from the ground up with a fresh vision and identity.
Lepage’s Seafood at 439 Martine Street in Fall River announced on social media in November of 2023 that they were undergoing a remodeling project to bring a whole new level of dining experience including revamping the bar/lounge area and a new floor plan.
Since the announcement, Lepage’s has remained closed including the Lepage’s sign being taken down, leaving to much speculation.
In May of 2024 it was announced that the property was going to be leased out under the name “South Coast Grill”, however the venture never came to fruition.
At a Licensing Board meeting last October, the owners of Black Salt, brother and sister Tania Novo and Joshua Conceicao, requested a new All Alcohol Common Victuallers License/Pledge of Collateral.
The pair is currently in the early renovation and planning phase and revealed that an opening timeline will be shared once plans are finalized which is currently not planned for the immediate future.
Hiring events and employment opportunities will be announced as the opening gets closer.
The name Anchor & Stone was chosen as a tribute to Tania Novo and Joshua Conceicao’s father.
