A Massachusetts man knows exactly what he plans on doing with the cash after hitting big money on a State Lottery scratch ticket.
According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Barry Seguin is the winner of a $20,000 a Month for 10 Years prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “Decade of Dollars” $10 instant ticket game.
Seguin, who is from New Bedford, chose the annuity option on his prize and received his first year of payments for a total of $240,000 (before taxes). Starting next October, he will receive monthly payments of $20,000 for the next nine years. He plans on investing with his winnings.
He purchased his winning ticket at Cumberland Farms, 2886 Acushnet Ave in New Bedford. The store receives a $24,000 bonus for its sale of the winning ticket.
