Here is how the winner of the first $10 million prize in new Massachusetts State Lottery game plans to spend the cash
The winner of a huge prize from a State Lottery scratch ticket already knows how the winnings will be spent.
According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, WSB Family Trust of Wellesley has claimed the first $10 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s new “$10,000,000 Bonanza” $20 instant ticket game.
The trust, represented by trustee James Goodhue, chose the cash option on its prize and received a one-time payment of $6,500,000 (before taxes). Goodhue said the winner plans on building a new home and investing their winnings.
The winning ticket was purchased at Coletti’s Market, 470 North Main St. in Raynham. The store receives a $50,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.
