Head-on two vehicle collision in Plymouth County results in serious injuries

A Plymouth County head-on collision resulted in serious injuries this week.

According to a social media post made just before 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Hanover Fire Department Car 3, Car 4, Engine 1, Ambulance 1, Ambulance 2 & Squad 1 were dispatched to the area of 527 Webster Street for the two car, head-on motor vehicle crash with reported entrapment.

Upon arrival, crews found two patients on scene, the operators of each vehicle.

Hanover Ambulance 1 transported to an area trauma center with an extra paramedic on board for serious, but non-life threatening injuries. Ambulance 2 also transported to an area trauma center.

With the on-duty crew being reduced to 5 members for the next 38 hours, Car 3, Car 4, and Squad 1 were staffed by off-duty firefighters. Off duty members also assisted in the transport of Ambulance 2.

The crash is under investigation.
