Name released in fatal head-on collision in Easton
EASTON — Police Chief Gary Sullivan and Fire Chief Kevin Partridge report that the Easton Police and Fire Departments responded to a fatal two-car crash today on Bay Road Sunday afternoon.
At approximately 1:50 p.m., Easton Police and Fire were dispatched to the area of 539 Bay Road for a report of a head-on collision. Upon arrival, first responders located the vehicles involved in the crash and began rendering aid.
According to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office, the deceased victim, who died at the scene of the crash, has been identified as Scott A. Lewis, 37, of South Easton.
Jake McCabe, the lone occupant of the second vehicle, a Cadillac Escalade, was transported to Boston Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries.
The Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section responded to the scene and is investigating the crash along with Easton Police detectives and the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office.
Bay Road remains closed at the intersection with Dean Street to accommodate the investigation.
