Gun seized by police after weekend shooting in Fall River
Fall River Police are investigating after a shooting over the weekend.
According to Captain Barden Castro, Uniform Division Officers responded Saturday to the area of Webster and Choate Streets at approximately 9:05 p.m. for a report of gunshots.
A check of the area by police both that evening and the next day, during daylight hours, did not reveal any property damage or anyone injured from the shooting.
Officers while canvasing the area located a Smith and Wesson 9mm handgun which had been discarded. The firearm was seized by detectives assigned to the Crime Scene Unit.
No arrests have been made.
