Gas station trip leads to life changing moment for Massachusetts woman, hitting $1 million on State Lottery scratch ticket

A Massachusetts woman has her plans lined up after hitting big money on a State Lottery scratch ticket.

According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Taylor Johnson of Newbury is the winner of the first $1 million grand prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$1,000,000 High Roller” $5 instant ticket game.

She chose the cash option on her prize and received a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes). Johnson said she plans to put the winnings towards a new car and her home.

She purchased her winning ticket at Shell, 81 Storey Ave. in Newburyport. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.

$1,000,000 High Roller has four $1,000,000 prizes remaining.
