Games, giveaways, food trucks, workshops highlight City of Fall River Arbor Day
(FALL RIVER, MA – April 18, 2025)- The City of Fall River, in collaboration with the Tree Division will be hosting an Arbor Day Fair.
This exciting free event is made possible through the generous sponsorship of Lewis Tree Service and the Davey Resource Group.
Following the reading of the proclamation by Mayor Paul Coogan, residents can enjoy tree-planting and equipment demonstrations by the City’s Tree Division.
There will also be a sapling giveaway, available on a first come first served basis. Joining the city will be The Fall River Street Tree Planting Program (FRSTPP), a non-profit group that educates residents of Fall River and surrounding areas on the benefits of trees.
The group will continue to partner with the city to support the 2023 Public Tree Resource Analysis & Maintenance Schedule, prepared by the contracted arborist, to build and maintain an inventory of trees.
The Fall River Public Library’s Bookmobile will be present, offering a great selection of books to explore. Bring your family and friends for an afternoon filled with giveaways, crafts, a hands-on workshop hosted by Home Depot, and outdoor games! Food trucks will be available, providing delicious lunch options and sweet treats!
The Fair will be held on April 26th, from 11:00 am-2:00 pm at Abbott Court Playground Park.
