Services have been announced for a Fall River man who gave decades of service to the city.
The Fall River Firefighter Union announced the passing of 65-year-old retired Lt. Michael Lepage following a courageous battle with cancer.
According to an obituary, “Michael was deeply committed to his work as a firefighter, serving the Fall River community for thirty-one years, from 1993 to 2024. Throughout his career, he served on Ladder 2 and Ladder 9, earning a promotion to Lieutenant in 2006. He was known for his dependability, professionalism, and the genuine care he extended to the people he served. His reliable presence and readiness to help others earned him the respect and gratitude of his colleagues and neighbors alike.
“He was deeply proud of his community’s history and channeled that passion into helping found the Fall River Fire Museum, where he also served as President. His vision and leadership helped build the museum from the ground up, ensuring that the stories, artifacts, and legacy of the Fall River Fire Department would be preserved for years to come.
“A devout Catholic, Christ was the center of Michael’s life, guiding his steps and inspiring his generous spirit. He poured his heart into everything he did and every gift he gave, always seeking to bring joy to others. He was very close with his family, who meant the absolute world to him.”
