Frost advisory issued across the area
The National Weather Service has issued a frost advisory for much of the area as temperatures are expected to drop.
Temperatures will be falling into the lower to middle 30s in portions of northern Connecticut, central, eastern, northeastern, southeastern and western Massachusetts and northern and southern Rhode Island.
The advisory is taking place from 2 AM to 8 AM EDT on Saturday.
Frost could kill sensitive outdoor vegetation if left uncovered.
Residents are encouraged to take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.
