He had his whole life ahead of him with dreams to pursue. Sadly, those dreams are now gone.

22-year-old Timothy (Timmy) Howard from Cape Cod recently passed away unexpectedly in the presence of his family due to a severe anaphylactic reaction to peanuts.

Known as a genuinely kind-hearted, humble, loving and empathetic soul, Timmy “had a love of life and especially loved hanging out with his close high school friends and cousins and his Phi Kappa Psi frat brothers at University of Rhode Island”, according to an obituary.

Those same frat brothers are raising funds in Timmy’s memory to support FARE (Food Allergy Research & Education) – the nation’s leading nonprofit dedicated to food allergy awareness, advocacy, research, and education. FARE’s mission is to help prevent other families from facing similar tragedies, and to make the world safer for those living with life-threatening allergies.

Timmy’s frat brothers issued a touching tribute in their fundraiser.

“Timmy was just beginning what promised to be a remarkable journey in life. He was driven, kind, and deeply loved by family, friends, and everyone who had the joy of knowing him. He had so much ahead of him, and he approached life with a rare kind of kindness and light. He was the person you could always count on to listen—really listen. He never judged, never interrupted, and always made you feel like what you had to say mattered. Timmy had a way of making everyone around him feel safe and seen. He had a warm, calm presence that made people feel better just by being near him. He didn’t complain, even when things were hard. He always looked for the good in people and held on to hope when others couldn’t. His positivity was quiet but powerful, and his heart was as genuine as they come. He truly was one of the good ones—gentle, thoughtful, and full of love for others.”

The family also requests that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Food Allergy Research & Awareness (FARE) organization; https://www.foodallergy.org/ or consider either donations to, or becoming a foster family for a dog in need at Sandy Paws Rescue; https://www.sandypawsmv.com/about.html Timmy loved dogs and fostering them.
