Today’s nor’ easter is wrecking havoc on some road ways.
According to Rhode Island State Police, the Newport Bridge is closed to all traffic in both directions. Jamestown and Mount Hope Bridges are closed to high-profile vehicles, including school buses. The statement was issued after this tractor-trailer truck tipped onto the barrier at center span just before noon on Friday, causing lane closures on each side of the bridge.
