Freetown Police arrest two men on drug trafficking charges after investigation

FREETOWN, MA — Two local men are facing drug charges after an arrest on Wednesday.

According to Lieutenant Benjamin Levesque, at approximately 1:45 p.m., the Freetown Police Department executed a search warrant at a residence located at 150 Chace Road as part of an ongoing investigation into suspected drug activity.

As a result of the search, officers located and seized a quantity of suspected cocaine from within the residence.

Two individuals were taken into custody as a result of the investigation:

• Matthew Clark, age 32, of Freetown

• Brandon DeMoranville, age 39, of Freetown

Both individuals are facing the following charges:

• Clark: Trafficking in Cocaine, 200 Grams or More

• DeMoranville: Trafficking in Cocaine, 200 Grams or More; Destruction of Evidence

Following their arrest, both individuals were transported to the Bristol County House of Correction. Bail was set at $50,000 for DeMoranville and $25,000 for Clark.

Clark and DeMoranville are scheduled to be arraigned in Fall River District Court on Thursday.

The Freetown Police Department was assisted by the Lakeville Police Department and the Bristol County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit.
