Foxy Lady permanently closed, appeal possible
The Providence Board of Licenses decided this afternoon to close the Foxy Lady permanently.
The Board voted 3-1 to revoke all licenses at the 1:00 p.m. meeting on Wednesday. Despite board members having concern for other employees working for the establishment, they wanted action to be strong and to send a message. The Board felt that the owners of Foxy Lady were not taking responsibility for activities that have been going on at the club.
The adult club has been closed since December 11th after three women were charged with soliciting undercover Providence police officers while inside the establishment.
The owners of the club on 318 Chalkstone Avenue have the option to appeal the decision.
