Four candidates officially on the ballot for Fall River’s Mayoral preliminary election
It’s official, residents will have four candidates to choose from in Fall River’s Mayoral preliminary election scheduled for September 21.
Candidates had until July 23 to submit enough signatures to the elections office. All four candidates have had the required amount of signatures certified by the elections office and all have filed certified nomination papers with the city clerk. At least three candidates were needed to force a preliminary election.
The candidates that will be listed on the September 21 mayoral ballot are incumbent Mayor Paul Coogan, City Council President Cliff Ponte, Jonathan James Albernaz and Michael Vandal. The top two vote-getters will move on to the general election on November 2.
