Former Fall River police dispatcher, animal control officer, who gave decades of service passes away

A local woman who spent many years serving the community has died.

60-year-old Giselle Marois-Williams of Westport passed away early this morning.

Giselle spent decades as a Fall River police dispatcher. She was also a former FRPD animal control officer and shared her love of animals through Forever Paws.

According to an obituary, “Giselle was an avid Disney fanatic, finding joy and inspiration in the stories and magic that Disney brings to life. She took great pride in caring for her family, showing love through cooking delicious meals and creating warm memories that celebrated togetherness.”

Roberta Proulx, a fellow dispatcher, stated that she suffered with illness, but she always had a smile.

“Heaven gained an angel.”

Visitation will be held Monday, March 3, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St. Fall River, and Tuesday, March 4, 2025, from 10:00AM to 11:00AM in the funeral home, with a Funeral Service in the funeral home Tuesday, at 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, family asks to consider a donation to Forever PawsSt. Jude Children’s Research HospitalAlzheimer’s Association, or the American Diabetes Association.
