Former Fall River mayor Jasiel Correia’s trip across America continues
Former Fall River mayor Jasiel Correia is residing in yet another prison.
The 32-year-old continues to be moved to prisons further away from the Bay State.
Correia was initially in Berlin, New Hampshire. He then stayed briefly in Brookyln, New York before locating at the Federal Detention Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania late last month. He has now been moved to a federal transfer center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma which means he is likely on the move again in the near future.
The U.S. Department of Justice states that FTC Oklahoma City was built in 1995 and operates as an administrative security federal transfer center. FTCs confine, on a short-term basis, inmates who are being transported through the U.S. Marshals Service or other federal law enforcement bodies and the BOP. FTC Oklahoma City has a current rated capacity of over 1,500 and houses both male and female inmates.
A Federal Bureau of Prisons spokesperson stated that the conditions as to why Correia has been moved would not be made public.
According to an inmate search, Correia has a release date of 10/29/2026.
Correia, who was convicted of defrauding investors through his SnoOwl app in addition to extorting money from marijuana companies, lost his appeal in November of 2022.
