PORTSMOUTH, R.I. – Charles “Chuck” Reeves and Jordon House returned to Rhode Island from the 2026 Great American Beard & Moustache Championship in Los Angeles as a “two-championship household,” with both competitors winning their respective categories.
Reeves, who states he is a 1997 graduate of Middletown High School and Portsmouth resident who previously lived in Fall River, won Alaskan Whaler/Donegal/Amish Natural with a perfect 50.0 score. House, a Kansas City, Missouri transplant, cosplayer and whiskerina, captured Artistic Creative Moustache with a Hollywood-themed creation in only her second competitive outing.
For Reeves, the perfect-score victory ended an almost unbelievable three-event streak of runner-up finishes: second at the 2023 U.S. National Championships in Daytona Beach, second in Alaskan Whaler at the 2024 Great American Championship, and second at the 2024 U.S. National Championships in Everett, Washington. The streak inspired the joking nickname “Runner Up Reeves.” After placing fourth at the 2025 World Beard and Moustache Championships in Pittsburgh, Reeves returned to the Great American stage in 2026 and finally broke through with a championship – and a new nickname: “Championship Chuck.”
House’s rise has been even faster. Her first competitive outing was the 2025 World Beard and Moustache Championships in Pittsburgh, where she placed fifth in Craft Creative Beard. Her Great American title came in competition number two.
According to Reeves, his championship arrived during an unusually big stretch both on and off the competition stage. Just days after his Los Angeles victory, Deathwoods – the new horror film he executive produced and appears in as the mysterious “Lone Camper” – was released on Screambox and reached #1 on the platform’s Top 10.
Reeves is also a Guinness World Records participant, having been part of the record-setting 150-foot, 10.75-inch beard chain created at the 2022 U.S. National Beard and Moustache Championships in Casper, Wyoming.
Next comes Alaska. Reeves and House travel to Anchorage in November for back-to-back competition events at Sullivan Arena. Reeves plans to compete November 13th in the historic Mr. Fur Face event, including the Alaskan Whaler category, before the November 14th U.S. National Beard & Moustache Championships.
