Former face of China Sails restaurant in Fall River begins renovations for his own new location
A familiar face from a Chinese spot in Fall River will be starting something new.
Dominic Chen, who is the former manager and do-it-all man at the popular China Sails Restaurant on Hope Street in Fall River, will be looking to make his mark at a new location.
Chen will be opening the new eatery at 210 Rhode Island Avenue and it will be called Mr. Chen.
While Chen was fairly quiet concerning his exit from China Sails, he states that you can expect the recipes that you know and love to be similar to China Sails, but with some tweaking to his liking.
Chen stated that Mr. Chen will have bubble teas available and will have a theme involving a bunch of Legos for children to check out.
The restaurant will not focus on dining-in as the focal point will revolve around take out/delivery.
The new Chinese spot is expected to open some time early next year.

Dominic; you should change the chow mein gravy first, the one at China Sails is terrible. Other than that the food is good. Get that new store open and you have a customer here! Good luck brother!
