Former Boston Red Sox, two-time World Series champion, Johnny Damon coming to Swansea

(Swansea, MA) – One SouthCoast Chamber has announced a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to dine with Johnny Damon, the legendary Major League Baseball player and two-time World Series champion, at their Celebrity Scholarship Dinner. This event will take place on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM at the iconic Venus de Milo, located at 75 GAR Hwy, Swansea, MA.

Johnny Damon, known for his speed, hitting prowess, and charismatic personality, enjoyed a remarkable 18-season career in the MLB. He played for several teams, including the Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees, Kansas City Royals, and Tampa Bay Rays. Damon was instrumental in helping the Red Sox end their historic 86-year championship drought with their 2004 World Series victory. Over the course of his career, he amassed over 2,700 hits, 235 home runs, and numerous accolades, including two All-Star selections and a Silver Slugger Award.
