A Massachusetts man has quite a few plans after hitting big money playing the lottery.

According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Christopher Williams of Fall River is the winner of a $2 million prize on a Powerball ticket purchased in Massachusetts for the multi-state game’s Wednesday, July 30 drawing that featured a $383.8 million jackpot.

He won the $2 million prize after the first five numbers on his Quic Pic ticket matched the first five numbers in the drawing. The base cost of a Powerball ticket is $2. By playing the Power Play option for an additional $1, Williams was able to turn a $1 million prize into $2 million.

He claimed his $2 million prize (before taxes) on Thursday, July 31 at the Massachusetts State Lottery’s Dorchester headquarters.

Williams noted that he was out for a walk with his kids to get slushies and decided to buy a Powerball ticket, a game he hadn’t played in a couple months. Williams said he plans to buy a house, invest, and take care of his children with his winnings.

He purchased his winning ticket at Cumberland Farms located at 64 Stevens St. in Fall River. The store will receive a $20,000 bonus for its sale of the winning ticket.
