First Light Casino “Welcome Center” in Taunton with slot machines hosting grand opening with preview of things to come

A preview of an upcoming Bristol County casino is now open to the public.
The Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the First Light Welcome Center at 1 O’Connell Way, East Taunton on Sunday, January 26th beginning at 3:00PM and ending at 5:00PM.
The Mashpee Wampanoag Tribal Gaming Authority invites and welcomes the community to learn more about the Tribe’s rich history and future plans for its reservation lands located in the City of Taunton.
There are currently 10 slot gaming machines at the 2,000-square-foot Welcome Center that are a “preview” of machines to be featured at the Tribe’s future casino.
Following the ribbon-cutting ceremony on Sunday, January 26th, the Welcome Center is set to be open each week Tuesday through Saturday, 10AM to 5PM.
An opening date for the full casino has not yet been released.
