Firefighters, paramedics combine to successfully delivery healthy baby girl in Middleborough
Middleborough, MA – The Middleborough Fire Department is thrilled to announce the successful delivery of a healthy baby girl on Friday.
At approximately 12:00 noon, Middleborough’s 911 dispatch center received a call for a woman in labor. Middleborough Firefighters Michael DesRoches and Jason Myers along with Middleborough Police Department Officer Caitlyn Berger quickly responded to the scene and found the expectant mother in active labor. With the assistance of Brewster Ambulance Service paramedics, they were able to deliver a healthy baby girl.
The mother and baby were transported to a nearby hospital, where they are both reported to be in good condition. Middleborough Fire Chief, Owen Thompson, praised the efforts of the firefighters, police officers and paramedics involved in the delivery. “Our team did an outstanding job today. They worked quickly and professionally to ensure the safety and well-being of both the mother and baby.”
The Middleborough Fire Department extended their congratulations to the new parents and wish them all the best. They would also like to remind the public to call 911 in case of an emergency and trust in the capabilities of their local first responders.
