Fire, EMS, State Police respond to crash with injuries deep in the woods on Route 95
A driver was injured after a Thursday morning highway crash.
According to the Exeter 2 Volunteer Fire Dept., at just after 7:15 a.m. they were called out along with Exeter Rescue to Route 95 Northbound between the weight station and the 165 overpass for a car off the road.
Initial reports were that the driver had removed themselves from the vehicle but had spent several hours trapped in the car.
Upon our arrival, crews found the driver out of the vehicle with Rhode Island State Police.
The car was deep in the woods, covered with fallen trees from the accident.
The driver was treated and transported by Exeter EMS to the hospital.
The crash is under investigation
