Fire Department: 4 transported to the hospital after crash on Route 138
Several people were injured after a Rhode Island highway crash.
According to the fire department, on Monday just after 5:15 p.m., a fire alarm alerted crews to a reported two car motor vehicle accident on Route 138 East at the Beacon Ave exit in Jamestown.
First arriving officers and fire companies reported a single car accident into the guard rail with multiple injuries. Two rescues were called to the scene with a total of four patients transported to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the accident is under investigation by police.
