The family of a missing Massachusetts woman continue to offer a $5,000 reward for information that leads to her being found.

Brittney McCormack, a 27-year-old mother of a six-year-old daughter and seven-year-old son at the time she went missing, hasn’t been seen since July 6, 2021, when she was visiting family. Her family officially reported her missing with police in August of 2021. She lived in Hanover, but often traveled to Brockton, Rockland, Abington and Hull.

Police believe Brittney may be deceased. As of early last year, Hanover Police had been working with Rockland Police, the Plymouth County District Attorney’s
Office and the Massachusetts State Police High Risk Victims Unit, Special Emergency Response Team (SERT), Air Wing and K9 Unit. They followed up on leads and conducted several large-scale searches across the South Shore, including one in Rockland.

At the time of Brittney’s disappearance, Laury McCormack, Brittney’s mother, believed that Brittney may be in danger. She was last seen in the South Shore area.

“Brittney would do anything for anyone, and she has a heart of gold. “I’m praying someone will come forward and help my family recover my daughter. If you know where she is, I’m begging you to say something.”

Brittney is described as a white female with brown, blonde, and red hair at various times and hazel eyes. She is approximately 5’3” tall and weighs 150 pounds. She was last seen wearing a T-shirt, shorts, sandals and a green Army jacket. Both of her ears and her nose are pierced. She has a tattoo of a peace sign on her lower back, “dream on” inside her wrist and a red heart with a tail on the back of her neck.

Sommer, Brittney’s sister, stated that the reward that was previously offered still stands.

Anyone with information is urged to call Hanover Police Detective Steve Moar at 781-826-2335 Ext. 2029.
