Family members say former Fall River woman killed in Massachusetts crash; balloon release/prayer gathering to be held
A former Fall River woman reportedly died in a crash over the weekend.
While details provided are conflicting, family members say 32-year-old Bianca Wood of Boston died from injuries sustained early Saturday morning.
Wood worked for The Brookline Center for Community Mental Health and leaves behind her husband Brian and their two daughters, 9-year-old Jas and 7-year-old Ariah.
According to a family member, “Bianca was the heart of her home. A devoted wife, an adoring mother, and a fiercely compassionate soul, she poured her life into building a better future for her girls. She worked tirelessly in the field of mental health, touching the lives of countless individuals with her empathy, kindness, and unwavering support. Whether it was for a friend, a loved one, or even a stranger — Bianca would give the shirt off her back without hesitation.”
On Wednesday, Bianca’s family and friends will release pink balloons and hold family prayer to help spread kindness and support through this difficult time. They will be meeting by Sullivan’s Ice Cream on Castle Island at 7pm. You can dress in pink and/or bring your own balloons to release.
A GoFundMe fundraiser has raised nearly $20,000 as of this writing.
Funeral services have not yet been announced.
