Family of a Fall River woman injured in a recent crash are thankful to bystanders who came to her aid and are looking to find them.

A relative took to social media to thank those who had stopped Friday just after 4:30 p.m.to help her niece, Britney Rogers, after crashing her motorcycle near White’s in Westport.

“I know there were people that had stopped to help her and there was this one person who had tried to stop the bleeding and wrapped (a tourniquet) around her. You did an awesome job, and I cannot thank you enough. You saved my niece’s life.”

The woman stated that the bystander slowed the bleeding down enough that she is still here today.

She was also thankful for the community support as her niece has a long road ahead.

“I want to also thank everyone for all their prayers. Keep them coming. She still has a long road ahead of her and a few more surgeries to go through.”

The aunt reiterated how thankful her family is for the quick thinking of those who stopped to help and save a life.
