Family, friends, authorities searching for 23-year-old Massachusetts man missing under troubling circumstances

A Massachusetts man is missing under concerning circumstances as family and friends continue to search for him and for answers.

23-year-old Cyris Sumner of North Adams, Massachusetts, has been missing since July 27, 2025.

He is described as a white male, approximately 5’8″ tall, weighing 140 pounds, with short brown hair and blue eyes, and a slim build.

In the days leading up to his disappearance, Sumner reportedly sold all his belongings and quit his job, which raised concerns for his family. He has been suffering from mental health issues.

He was last seen in the North Adams area, and his family has been actively seeking public help through social media and local news outlets to locate him.

His wallet was discovered on August 19th on the corner of Canal Street and Center Street in New York City and was turned into the 5th or 6th precinct according to the NAMUS database.
