Family confirms name of Fall River woman killed in pedestrian crash
A Fall River pedestrian has been killed after being hit by a vehicle Sunday morning.
According to WHJG, the accident took place on Front Beach Road in Panama City Beach, Florida.
A 49-year-old woman from Fall River was reportedly struck by a SUV at approximately 1:10 a.m. while crossing the road near Joan Avenue.
Family members have confirmed that Nikkie Edwards was on vacation when she was struck and killed.
Police say that the SUV was driven by a 42-year-old man from Panama City Beach.
The female victim was transported to Ascension Sacred Heart/Bay Medical Center where she later succumbed to her injuries.
Family members have created GoFundMe fundraisers to bring Edwards home for burial.
