HANOVER – The family of Brittney McCormack announced Wednesday they’re offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to her recovery.

Brittney, a 27-year-old mother of a six-year-old daughter and seven-year-old son, hasn’t been seen since last summer. Her family officially reported her missing with police in August. She lived in Hanover, but often traveled to Brockton, Rockland, Abington and Hull.

Police believe Brittney may be deceased. Hanover Police have been working with Rockland Police, the Plymouth County District Attorney’s
Office and the Massachusetts State Police High Risk Victims Unit, Special Emergency Response Team (SERT), Air Wing and K9 Unit. They’ve followed up on leads and conducted several large-scale searches across the South Shore, including one in Rockland on Tuesday.

“Brittney would do anything for anyone and she has a heart of gold,” said Laury McCormack, Brittney’s mother. “I’m praying someone will come forward and help my family recover my daughter. If you know where she is, I’m begging you to say something.”

At the time of Brittney’s disappearance, Laury believed that Brittney may be in danger. She was last seen in the South Shore area.

Brittney is described as a white female with brown, blonde, and red hair at various times and hazel eyes. She is approximately 5’3” tall and weighing 150 pounds. She was last seen wearing a T-shirt, shorts, sandals and a green Army jacket. Both of her ears and her nose are pierced. She has a tattoo of a peace sign on her lower back, “dream on” inside her wrist and a red heart with a tail on the back of her neck.

The family has asked for privacy during this time.

Anyone with information is urged to call Hanover Police Detective Steve Moar at 781-826-2335 Ext. 2029.
